another Saltspring/Salt Spring Linnyland painting adventure. While I painted a small audience gradually gathered; first a woman visiting SSI on her annual writer's retreat, then one popsicle eating child, then two more, then a father and a sculptor sprawled on the ground next to the easel, and finally a neighbour and her children joined them - and me. Happy Thanksgiving, Canada! May you and your gathering enjoy. -------------
I'm a visual artist living in Victoria BC Canada. I paint in either acrylic or oil in what is described as "a visit to a dream" style and/or Linnyism. To me, the visual world is a beautiful combination of colors, shapes and light swirling together in rhythmic patterns that feel like a mixture of Robert Gordon's "I Want to be Free" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". When I paint I bring my interpretation of this beauty to the canvas. Welcome to Linnyland and thank-you for looking at my interpretations.
