Oh, Linny, I'm soooo far behind on my blogging. I just spent the last several minutes going through all your recent posts and work. Congrats on the magazine cover and center spread. Kudos for sticking out your 'windy adventure'. And, thanks for sharing all your wonderful work! I always enjoy spending lots of time in Linnyland - it's an enchanting world!
This is lovely. There is a strong sense of ease with the marking and composition in this. It really does show your confidence, connection and happiness with the landscape.
I'm a visual artist living in Victoria BC Canada. I paint in either acrylic or oil in what is described as "a visit to a dream" style and/or Linnyism. To me, the visual world is a beautiful combination of colors, shapes and light swirling together in rhythmic patterns that feel like a mixture of Robert Gordon's "I Want to be Free" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". When I paint I bring my interpretation of this beauty to the canvas. Welcome to Linnyland and thank-you for looking at my interpretations.

I do love this -- your play with pattern and the landscape singing through.

Really love these two recent paintings LInny. Something very peaceful and tranquil about them both.
ReplyDeleteYour colors and textures are so thrilling. I often wonder how and when this lovely style was developed!
