  3. Wow, this is beautifully painted. It's hard to believe that these barns are so tall. That background sky is simply spectacular.

    Yes! Go Canada! Go Linnyland!

  5. Hi Linny,

This seems so timely as a grain elevator in Saskatchewan burned to the ground this week. People were working on restoring it. I love this painting. Wishing you a very loving Valentine's Day.

    Take care,

    Barbara

  6. Linny, The is a spectacular series...loved the first one and this one is even better. I didn't even know there were wooden grain elevators; the ones in the states are big metal tubes with no personality. Awesome!

  7. Thank-you for everything, Barbara! That's tragic news about the Fleming elevator, (oddly, last night I was researching the grain elevator and had made a note about the Fleming elevator because it was named as Canada's oldest standing grain elevator on it's original site - built in 1895. I was hoping to get photos of it to paint one day. It's a terrible loss for the people of Fleming, my heart goes out to them.

  8. Thank-you for your comments, Carol! (From what I've read they were invented by two fellows in the states so, in earlier times, you would have had the older wooden ones there as well.) I'm definitely having fun with these!
