"Farm Life" SOLD

Another commission from 2013 and, once again, for
"already Linnyland Collectors".
It was many whiles ago when Steve and Juliann first talked
to me about creating a Linnyland painting that would include
their nursery's historic water tower, so I was delighted
when Steve called last year to commission
the painting for Juliann's (special) birthday.
Since the 90's the Kimoff Farm tower
has been proudly "towering"at Juliann and Steve's
 Central Saanich wholesale nursery.
Originally it "towered" in Victoria's Inner Harbour for a
roofing company (on the site where the Ocean Point Resort
is now located), then it "towered" for a View Royal sawmill and now
and forever it's "towering" in Linnyland surrounded by the
creatures that enjoy the good life at the Kimoff (Farm) Nursery.

"Little Empire" SOLD

A summer of 2013 commission... and couldn't
we all use a little summer flashback (OR flash forward)
 about [right] now!
This painting was commissioned by Ron,
 "an already a Linnyland Collector".
It's a Linnyland version of Ron's little gem
of a home, with it's many treasures,
including Winston (a great little grey pupper), who
is fondly remembered throughout Fernwood.
"Little Empire" with all of it's warm, summery
memories was a delight to paint!

HAPPY Two - OH - One - Four, "The year of GOOD things GALORE"!

Happy Two - OH - One Four, "The year of GOOD things GALORE"!
~
Adam Sawatsky, Victoria's much loved & respected media personality
(Monday Magazine, CTV News and CFAX Broadcasting),
asked me to offer one piece of advise for
those who would like to resolve to be more creative in 2014.
~
So I responded,
“Put your hands in the air, like you don’t care!”
With your hands in the air, wiggle them and the rest of yourself
all about, like a carefree child. This movement
 awakens playful, experimental energy and,
with hands in the air, the posture says; dive in,
create, explore, see what happens next,
allow your creation to develop the way that it wants,
 go wherever it takes you.
Whether painting in my studio
or out of doors (en plein air) this “technique”
gives me the freedom to enjoy wherever
 the creative process takes me.
And, it takes me to Linnyland, and many other wonderful places!"

Happy wiggles from Linnyland!!
