Wednesday night was great, thank-you

'Life is good', truly good, having all of you in it

This is the painting from

that lovely, lively, fun-filled evening at

The Gallery where Katie, from the suite above,

came by and said that she

has always wanted to live in a building that

was "cool enough that someone would

want to do a painting of it".

Late Afternoon - Lake Cowichan SOLD

And, after the picnic and an afternoon

of swimming among the small orange bellied newts

(the first that I've ever seen - maybe the young of

the lake's legendary "Stin-Qua") I painted this one,

then another swim...

Last week

I enjoyed an up island

adventure to Lake Cowichan with

fellow, fellow painter

Jeffrey J. Boron.

We arrived at a quiet spot on the lake

early in the day and I painted this little one

before my first swim.
