View From Highrock Park SOLD

This one is from last Sunday
when, fellow painter, Jeffrey Boron
and I climbed to the top of
Highrock Park and
painted among the spring wildflowers.
(I didn't use any red and it felt most strange!)

When Planets Align SOLD

This is the second time
that this little head turner of a car,
(bright pink in the real world),
has made it into one of my paintings.
In this one, it's parked on Courtney Street
in front of the Mercurio Gallery.

Quiet Business (by the Green Door Store) SOLD

This couple was deep in
discussion as they passed by
this little "closed sign on the door" store.
I couldn't see a business name anywhere on
on the building so, to me, it's:

"Quiet Business - (By the Green Doored Store)".

Insomnia

On Friday I went out for a paint with
the Al Frescos to
Frank Mitchel's farm in Metchosin.
Shortly after I began to paint the
rain started so I moved
underneath the eave of the red shed
to continue.
I couldn't see the sheep
or their lambs from my new position
but, as I continued to paint, I could hear them
ba-a-a-ing from the other side of the wall.
(I titled this painting
with Rose and Jeffrey in mind,
they've both been suffering from
sleeplessness lately.
I wish you both long, deep sleeps and wonderfully wild dreams !)

Tourmaline Morning - Trial Island SOLD

This little painting of the Trial Island Lighthouse
is one that I started last spring on an outdoor
adventure with the Al Fresco non-group.
Finally, this week, I added a bit more
paint to it.
(I remember that it was the morning of Good Friday
and there were Easter eggs on the ground
all around us as we set up on Anderson Hill.
While we painted a swarm of children
appeared and then disappeared along with the eggs.)

The Oak Villa SOLD

This elegant home sits
at the top
of the rise along Gladstone Avenue
in Fernwood.
The towering Garry oak
in the forground combined
with the height
of the home prompted
another Linnyland long and lean-er.
