This is the second time thatthis little head turner of a car, (bright pinkin the real world), has made it into one of my paintings. In this one, it's parked on Courtney Street in front of the Mercurio Gallery. 12 x 9 acrylic on canvas
I'm a visual artist living in Victoria BC Canada. I paint in either acrylic or oil in what is described as "a visit to a dream" style and/or Linnyism. To me, the visual world is a beautiful combination of colors, shapes and light swirling together in rhythmic patterns that feel like a mixture of Robert Gordon's "I Want to be Free" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". When I paint I bring my interpretation of this beauty to the canvas. Welcome to Linnyland and thank-you for looking at my interpretations.

This is quite wonderful. I really like that the little Metropolitan (?) is red and white like the awnings above the shops.
ReplyDeleteIt sings--this painting. Great composition too.
Thank-you, Melinda! And, thank-you for identifying the make of car for me... now I'm thinking "Metro Retro" ... or "Retro Metro"...
