View from Saxe Point Park

This little one is from last Friday's outing with the
Al Frescos. I painted from a peaceful spot with a view
of a dancing fir tree,
the Juan de Fuca Strait and the Olympic Mountains.
It was a greyish day and I felt as though
I was using alien colors.

Nothing But Blue Skies

I noticed this Lyall Street house
with it's apple tree full of fruit while out for a
neighbourhood stroll last September and
it was the calm, contented, "all is well" feel of
this scene that inspired me.

Looking Forward to the Unknown

This is from an outdoor painting
adventure last Friday.
It was an extremely chilly morning
on the grounds of Government House in Victoria.
I set up to paint beside this trail
and as I started to paint I enjoyed the feeling of
"looking forward to the unknown".
