Looking Forward to the Unknown

This is from an outdoor painting
adventure last Friday.
It was an extremely chilly morning
on the grounds of Government House in Victoria.
I set up to paint beside this trail
and as I started to paint I enjoyed the feeling of
"looking forward to the unknown".

  1. This is very interesting! It has such a strong sense of narrative that I expect to read a poem or fascinating story about the scene you've painted. It is surreal, in a friendly, engaging kind of way!

Glad to have helped with the "metro-retro" thing. I like that title.

  2. Thank-you, Melinda! (And, as long as you are looking forward to the unknown, you very well may...)

  3. Linny, I love the way you move seamlessly between taking the objective objects within the scene and moving into your imagination about them. It is a very perceptive and intuitive approach.
