Wowza! This is fabulous, Linny! It really does capture the whole excitement of spring. Looks like it might be good, too, to hang onto one's hat.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the composition, and of course I love the colours.
Yay, for spring...
Good Morning Linny!... It sure "looks" like Spring has arrived in Victoria as well... judging by you jaunty... rakish gem shown here!
ReplyDeleteYour figure and her dress share and amplify the rhythm and spirit of the piece as well... seeming cradled by the warm buildings of Victoria! A nice "extra" touch of observation and connection!
Good luck to you and Jeffrey at your exhibition Linny! Were I living closer... I would surely make my way down to share the opening evening with you. But know that "I" am there in spirit... wishing you both well!
Good Painting... and Sales... Have FUN!!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
Thank-you, Melinda! "Hanging on to one's Hat", could make a great title for a Linnyland painting! Thank-you again.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Bruce! (At the reception I may need to share a double chocolate cookie with your spirit (maybe one for your spirit and one for me...)
ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup, Martine Alison! (Maybe this is your dalmation, what's his name?)
ReplyDeleteLove this Linny! Have a great time at your opening, i will be there in spirit too:) I'm sure the show will be very warmly received.
ReplyDeleteI love the feeling you've portrayed here Linny. The buildings give a sense of a windy day and your lady and her dog look like nothing could ruin their day.
ReplyDeleteThis painting is glorious. I love the patterned sky -- outstanding!

Thank-you, Sally - it was great!!
ReplyDeleteThank-you very much, Nancy! (Victoria is a windy city but it's (usually) always warm and sunny in Linnyland!
ReplyDeleteThank-you so very much, Barbara!
ReplyDeleteThis painting was the highlight of the Moss Street Paint-in for me. I'm planning to blog about the Paint-in this evening (I'm participating in NaBloPoMo for July -- for my sins), and I see I need your permission to include it. I'm perfectly okay with only linking to it, but I'd love for my admittedly small band of readers to see it.
ReplyDeleteThank-you, Persephone - a link to Linnyland would be super!!
