Summer on the Big Lake

As the Christmas cards arrive
I'm enjoying a summertime flashback
to an August Linnyland swimming, painting,
 swimming, picnicking,
swimming, boating,
swimming adventure
 at Cowichan Lake.

  1. Hello Linnyland!... This certainly is the time of the year when one becomes reflective... and Christmas cards... add "visions of Sugar plums... dancing in one's head"!

Never too soon to be joyful... is it Linny! Your peaceful and tranquil Cowichan summer moment really is fitting!

    Good Painting... and Sweet Visions!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  2. I love the sense of peace in this sweet painting from Linnyland. Thank you for sharing one of your 'happy places.' I hope you are enjoying the run up to the holidays.

Wishing you joy and peace in the days ahead!

  3. Thank-you, Bruce! Glad to read that "peaceful" comes across in this one, even with all of day's activity is was a mini-Linny holiday on in one day! Peace out, man!

  4. Hi Melinda! Glad that you found the "peace" in this one, too. (As I mentioned to Bruce...it was a busy day but it felt like a mini-Linny holiday during a super busy slow to get started (weather-wise) summer!)
By the way is that your new pupper? If the name hasn't yet been decided, how about "Tenner" or 'tener'? (Short for Listener...with his/her lovely and attentive ears. And, because she/he is obviously a "10-er" as well!!)...and depending on vocals, maybe a tenor, too?

  5. Hi Linny,

I think this is just what the doctor ordered, the post and the beautiful painting. I am now remembering summer -- the heat, the lush colours. It is really cold here today, icey and snow is falling. Beam me up some ideal summer Linnyland.

    XO Barbara

  6. Thank-you, Barbara! (Hope you are having sunshine this week...it was sunny here today, after days of grey skies - today was glorious!)
