"Fulford Farm"

Another Linnyland painting from
another Saltspring/Salt Spring Linnyland painting adventure.
While I painted a small audience gradually gathered; first a woman visiting SSI on her annual writer's retreat, then one popsicle eating child, then two more, then a father and a sculptor sprawled on the ground next to the easel, and finally a neighbour and her children joined them - and me.
Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!
May you and your gathering enjoy.

"Cusheon Lake Colors"

Just home from a Saltspring/Salt Spring Island
Linnyland swimming/painting/swimming/painting/
swimming/swimming/swimming/swimming adventure...
this one was from the very end of the day with
a view of the very end of the lake,
at the (almost) very end of summer.
It was so dark while I packed my paints
that the bats were already swooping and
the little tree frog was headed
out for the night...

Saltspring Memory SOLD

On the way to the ferry, from Saltspring Island
back to Vancouver Island,
I saw these well aged
barns along the curve in the road and had
to stop for a few photos.

Somewhere on Saltspring

Last weekend, during the stretch of
gloriously hot weather, I enjoyed a get away to
Saltspring Island complete with lake swimming, relaxing
and a "somewhere on a back road stop"
for this sketch.
