When the owner of this cabin, Betty,
called me to commission this painting she described
her little red cabin with it's mossy roof
as looking like one of my paintings.
A few days after our phone conversation
I drove up to Maple Bay,
( 45 minutes north of Victoria),
to get photos of the cabin while the daffodils were still in bloom.
As soon as I saw
the cabin I was inspired and it was a joy to paint!
Betty has graciously invited me up
for a visit and a swim
this summer.
