- I'm a visual artist living in Victoria BC Canada. I paint in either acrylic or oil in what is described as "a visit to a dream" style and/or Linnyism. To me, the visual world is a beautiful combination of colors, shapes and light swirling together in rhythmic patterns that feel like a mixture of Robert Gordon's "I Want to be Free" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". Thanks, Ken....the way up there 7up sign and the bright colors on the awnings are what drew me to this one.

Thank-you Sheila. "Being there" in Victoria's Chinatown always inspires me. I was there this Sunday for the New Year's celebration of Year of the Ox where the Lion winds along from business to business eating the lettuce offerings that hang from each doorway, (symbols of prosperity and growth), picking up offerings of red envelopes and then using firecrackers to chase away any evil sprits. All this and good luck red everywhere!
