for my first seven years in Victoria.
The boat's real name was the'Casa Miga',
(friendly house or home of friends),
but the captains of the Harbour Ferry Tour boats
dubbed it 'The Floating Flowerpot'.
It was a wonderful lifestyle,
full of all sorts of challenges, that all made sense
- during the summer months!

I love how you paint Linny!
ReplyDeleteSo unique. I got my hands on a book by Ernest Blumenschein. He was a musical prodigy but later turned to painting with the Taos Painters in the early 20th century. He has that same rhythmic style. Thanks for stopping by and reminding me to put you in my blog list.
I really enjoy this painting Linny. I love how you take what one might see as an everyday scene, and turn it into a very fun, pleasing image. You also pull it off in a very 'solid', 'together' way.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work! : )
Wow! I just discovered your blog from your comment at Deb Schmit's and I'm so glad to have found it.
ReplyDeleteYour work is full of whimsy, great color and exquisite composition.
Like your taste in music too!
