Love this. We watched fireworks too. I love the traditions. We drive out to a farflung beach by an art deco water treatment plant, and stand on a hill with the small crowd of people who know that spot. Off in the distance we see the fireworks, and their gorgeous reflections over the lake. It's a great event.
I'm a visual artist living in Victoria BC Canada. I paint in either acrylic or oil in what is described as "a visit to a dream" style and/or Linnyism. To me, the visual world is a beautiful combination of colors, shapes and light swirling together in rhythmic patterns that feel like a mixture of Robert Gordon's "I Want to be Free" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". When I paint I bring my interpretation of this beauty to the canvas. Welcome to Linnyland and thank-you for looking at my interpretations.

Lovely and quite impressionistic! I keep checking to see what medium you are using. I keep thinking I'm seeing pastels at work!
