Summer Evening on Kaatza

This one is from that same magical Linnyland painting
 (& swimming) adventure to Lake Cowichan
 or Kaatza (The Big Lake).
After a swim I wandered around the point
 and painted facing the Northwest end of the lake. 
And, when I had finished, 
there was time for one more swim...

    Swimming, then painting, then swimming again? Could there be a better kind of day? I don't think so.

    I love that beautifully textured sky with clouds. It must have been wonderful.

    Landscapes got a sense of heightened animation,the clouds look like 1950s spaceships landing on an alien landscape.
