This little one is from a few whiles ago.
I was at Highrock Park in the late afternoon
and the pillowcase clouds lined up in a row
and said, "Hey, Linny, paint us!"

I love the word "Linnyism". Your style is so individual, it is really apart and on its own! Love these pines!
ReplyDeleteThank-you Prabha, I love shapes and the trees always inspire me, too!
ReplyDeleteThank-you Marie, your comments are wonderful to receive!
ReplyDeleteHi Linny,
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. And how great you are to say, "Okay pillowcase clouds I just will do that."
It's a beautiful vision that you give to us of a world that speaks to artists.

oh i just love this. the whole thing is dancing!Love how you zoom in on shapes and movement. which reminds me have you seen the documentary 'Something Dancing About Her?' its about the artist Pegi Nicol McLeod, really great. see it if you get a chance.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have created such an excellent graphic with a strong sense of place.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous painting! If only we could sleep while lying on one of those clouds.
Barbara, your comments are gifts - thank-you!
ReplyDeleteThank-you (and, you know magical Melinda, in Linnyland you can sleep while lying on any one of those clouds)!
ReplyDeleteThank-you, Sally! I do know of Peggi Nicol McLeod and I find her work absolutely inspiring. I've rented the documetary a couple of times and have managed to find two books on her work and her life, (if my memory is working), one of the books has the same title as the video.
