I feel like I was looking at exactly this kind of scene today on my walk. I think I'm living in Linnyland! Whether it's true or not it's a great inspiration to visit the original. What a beautiful painting. XOBarbara
Hi Linny! ..... Love the strength in your very vertical design in this one! Autumn's Gold... rooted like asparagus in the earth... very brash and organic! Love it!
I'm a visual artist living in Victoria BC Canada. I paint in either acrylic or oil in what is described as "a visit to a dream" style and/or Linnyism. To me, the visual world is a beautiful combination of colors, shapes and light swirling together in rhythmic patterns that feel like a mixture of Robert Gordon's "I Want to be Free" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". When I paint I bring my interpretation of this beauty to the canvas. Welcome to Linnyland and thank-you for looking at my interpretations.

Ooooh! More tantalizing juxtapositions of line, shape and texture!
ReplyDeleteYou've got the best kind of "gold" in the world.
The light draws me in and I feel rested.

ReplyDeleteThank-you Barbara - your comments inspire!
ReplyDeleteThank-you Bruce. The trees were big leaf maples (that reminded me of giant golden bamboo) but I like your asparagus interpretation, too!
