I'm a visual artist living in Victoria BC Canada. I paint in either acrylic or oil in what is described as "a visit to a dream" style and/or Linnyism. To me, the visual world is a beautiful combination of colors, shapes and light swirling together in rhythmic patterns that feel like a mixture of Robert Gordon's "I Want to be Free" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". When I paint I bring my interpretation of this beauty to the canvas. Welcome to Linnyland and thank-you for looking at my interpretations.
Thank you Linny, for painting my lovely Little Mansion for a very pleasing and surprising Valentine's gift. I will cherish it forever.ReplyDelete
Cet endroit me paraît très romantique... Très jolie peinture remplie de poésie.ReplyDelete
You are most welcome! It was a pleasure to paint your little mansion. Thank-you for letting me know that it was a hit!
Merci beaucoup, Alison Martine!ReplyDelete
A lucky collector, indeed! Congratulations, Linny!ReplyDelete
I was just going through your many beautiful paintings at your website a few days ago, dreaming of the day I can afford one.
Hope you are staying warm and painting lots.
Thank-you, Melinda! I'm wishing you a "windfall" in amongst all of the wind that you're having in Tucson. Thank-you for sharing your dream and your kindness. (It was a strange weather day for plein air painting in Victoria; sunny and warm to start and then a cloud passed over and it was snowing and time to pack up!)ReplyDelete
Quirky, quaint and yes, very Linny-ish! I am sure they were delighted!ReplyDelete
Thank-you, Sheila! (I like "Linny-ish" and, yes, I've since heard that the surprise gift is cherished.)ReplyDelete
Love it. No surprise it sold. Who wouldn't want to live there? I love the colour and the movement you establish with so much joy.ReplyDelete
Thanks Linny for your compliments. I love your wimsy style and beautiful compositions! Your paintings make me smile!ReplyDelete
