an unexpected and unusual snow storm arrived in Victoria.
A few days afterwards on a cold but sunny afternoon
on an extreme, (for Victoria), painting adventure.
I was hoping to paint a snow scene
along the Westsong walkway, instead I found
a sunny spot out of the wind.
Even though I didn't have a snowy view I was
toasty as I faced south towards the Olympic Mountains
and the warmth of the sun.

J'apprécie toujours d'admirer votre touche très personnelle. Cette toile est très délicatement peinte.

Hi there in sunny... snowy Linnyland! Both "You" and Jeffrey pulled off very nice pochade scenes... in less than painter-friendly circumstances! Good for you both!
ReplyDeleteI particularly love the warmth of this one and the "quiet"... that manifests itself in your strong horizontally receding land masses!
That red light really grabs the eye and I love the playful cloud patterns!
A real winner!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
You really know skies, Linny...and, light houses!
ReplyDeleteWow. The clouds and sky texture are wonderful.
Merci beacoup, Martine Alison!
ReplyDeleteThank-you for your thorough and thoughtful comment - much appreciated, Bruce!
ReplyDeleteWhen the Queen of Clouds gives a "Wow" and then references the sky it makes one's heart happy and high - Thank-you, Melinda!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. I am sitting here Wowing. Just enthralled at your wonderful eye.
ReplyDeleteThanks again.

ReplyDeleteThis is very striking, Linny. I love the colours and the rich, thick brushstrokes. I'm glad you found a cozy place to paint out of the wind! Thanks for your kind comment.
