painting
is of a property
near Saxe Point Park
and just down the street from
my home/studio. The house in the painting
sits just above the giant firs, which grow right above
the curved boulders that slope straight up from the edge of the ocean.

Wow... This might be one of my very favorites (so far) of yours. The colors are so warm and happy! The movement of the grasses and trees are also wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love de mouvement in it too. Especially the branch which seems like a hair curl on the right.
ReplyDeleteHi Linny,
ReplyDeleteI am astounded by the beauty of this work. I love how you see the world. Just amazing.
Take care,
Barbara
Linny,
ReplyDeleteHow I love your art. Your colors are always beautiful.

i like the title 'life on the edge' for this one. It seems that little house might be swallowed up soon by the tentacles(grasses and trees) of those curving boulders. However your cheery colour palette assures me all will be well:)
ReplyDeleteGreat piece, Linny! It is so animated with a life all its own.
ReplyDeleteLove this painting, I am sure I have been in this reality at some time.
ReplyDeleteThank-you, Sheila - I do love those warm colors!
ReplyDeleteThank-you, Ghislaine. I like your reference to the branch that "looks like a hair curl". (I can't seem to keep things straight!) :)
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I've always wished that I could pop on other's eyes for a quick look at how they view the world and I suppose that sharing our work is the next best thing -or maybe it's an even better way.
Thank-you, Katelen!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally,
ReplyDeleteI giggled about your take on this one and I like that you are trusting that all is swell, too. Thank-you!
Muchos gracias, Don!
ReplyDeleteThank-you, Simon! In a dream land or a waking land or none of the above?
ReplyDelete... or all of the above or all of the below?
ReplyDeleteThis is spectacular!
