Great color and lines. Like the way the road leads up to all the action at the top of the painting. Just love your stylized look. The flowering tree really has me in the mood for Spring!
Can this really be happening? I love your work! It makes me sure that this joy will be coming to us soon. I swoon when I see those trees in bloom in Linnyland.
Hello and thank-you, Barbara! (Yes, the cherries are abloom but this week we've had a couple of wintry days and even some snow.) Wishing you blossoms...
Thank-you, Tracey. Shadows shapes interest me. Now you have me wondering what prompted the return to the prairies and if there may be any great photos of old wooden grain elevators that might make it to Victoria...
I'm a visual artist living in Victoria BC Canada. I paint in either acrylic or oil in what is described as "a visit to a dream" style and/or Linnyism. To me, the visual world is a beautiful combination of colors, shapes and light swirling together in rhythmic patterns that feel like a mixture of Robert Gordon's "I Want to be Free" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". When I paint I bring my interpretation of this beauty to the canvas. Welcome to Linnyland and thank-you for looking at my interpretations.
