Those muted smoky colors convince me of the beauty you perceived at the scene, Linny! Once again the repeat rhythms in your trees and waves are a great delight!
Lovely suggestion of patterns here, Linny, almost abstracted, while maintaining a wonderful sense of place. I can feel that cool air in the warm sunlight again!
Hi Linny, Checking in to see what you're up to, and Wow! there are tons of new works i haven't seen. They look super. You've really captured that soft gentle light here, I love the way you've made it you're own. BeautifuL!
Hi Linny, Love your beautiful, rhythmic, colourful paintings. Although I already know of you and your work, I linked through to your blog through an French artist's blog, and I live in Victoria! Hilarious! I just love how small the blog world is and how very supportive we all are of one another. See you around town!
I'm a visual artist living in Victoria BC Canada. I paint in either acrylic or oil in what is described as "a visit to a dream" style and/or Linnyism. To me, the visual world is a beautiful combination of colors, shapes and light swirling together in rhythmic patterns that feel like a mixture of Robert Gordon's "I Want to be Free" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". When I paint I bring my interpretation of this beauty to the canvas. Welcome to Linnyland and thank-you for looking at my interpretations.
